• Lead the development of an Internal Translation System to support business-critical real-time content moderation use cases processing 178,000 peer-to-peer messages daily.
• Enhance translation quality of slang words and abbreviations using distant supervision, data augmentation, and domain adaptation.
• Achieve 30+ BLEU score for translation of unstructured peer-to-peer messages and improve over state-of-the-art translation systems including Google Translate and Facebook’s M2M Translation by 2+ BLEU scores on 4 major European languages, i.e. German, French, Italian, Spanish.
• Reduce single example inference latency by 3x using computation graph optimization and reducing memory consumption by 2x using quantization.
• Leverage Pytorch for model development, and ONNX, TensorRT for model optimization.

Data Engineer - Distributed System, Intern

• Optimize big data query on Hadoop Distributed File System written in Pig Script by migrating to Apache Spark.
• Reduce handling time of 3.3TB daily data from 5 hours to 10 minutes.
